"not boot" includes access to the UEFI? The bootloader? Or does only booting linux fail?

Correct, the screen remained black, the caps lock light would not turn on when caps lock was pressed, and the integrated fan button did not activate the fans. No response except for the indicator light by the power button illuminating. And no UEFI, so at this point I think that I would have to take it to a repair shop to have the system diagnosed.
I'm typing this response on the new laptop BTW; a Lenovo Thinkpad T16 Gen 4 with AMD Ryzen and 16 GB of RAM.
