How to disable Arch Linux pinging ping.archlinug.org forever?

Clearly it's a privacy issue. I tried editing `/usr/lib/NetworkManager/conf.d/20-connectivity.conf` by adding `interval=0`, which works, but unfortunately, after a `networkmanager` package update, the config is overwritten. `chmod -w /usr/lib/NetworkManager/conf.d/20-connectivity.conf` doesn't work either.

Following https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Networ … nnectivity you should be able to create a custom /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/20-connectivity.conf file which will override the other file's settings, and will not get overwritten on updates.

Necro so will probably get the thread closed, but I'm not running NetworkManager and yet `ping.archlinux.org` has more than double the requests from the next top domain in pihole. All from a single machine running arch. The next top domain is something Apple related, and there's like 7 apple devices on the network.
