I've been using the jedit text editor (a java application, last updated in 2024 in arch) for years now. I'm using the Gnome desktop btw.
Suddenly today every time I run it, a "remote desktop" window pops up with the message "an app wants to share your screen". After I close it, jedit starts.
I can't find any "remote" setting in jedit so I guess it's something else. I've tried removing the .jedit directory anyway, and rebooting, but nothing changed. Maybe it's a java thing or a new gnome feature? I just hope it's not some kind of malware...
Any idea?

Uninstalling rdesktop was enough to "fix" this issue. I still don't understand why it starts as soon as I run jedit though.
