Hi there,
I'm looking for creating a new AUR package to add the Google Font Science Gothic (https://github.com/googlefonts/science-gothic). I see that there's a variable version, and static ones, so I thought that it would be useful to have both in a simple repository as it's suggested on https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/otf-commissioner.
I have some questions:
- What version should I set in pkgver if this git repository doesn't have any tag or version on it?. I see that it has date version release (20250824), can I use this number as pkgver?
- Do you recommend creating two packages ('ttf-science-gothic' and 'ttf-science-gothic-variable') in the same AUR repository?. In case of affirmation, should I name the repository as 'ttf-science-gothic' or 'science-gothic-font'?.
Thank you in advance so any help about this.

Upstream has no releases and no tags, using the number of revisions since development started plus the commit hash seems best choice .
