GNOME requires authentication to saved WiFi network on most boots

When I boot my PC my WiFi will often not be connected and I'll get the following pop up notification that requires me to in order for it to connect.

Clicking the notification shows the following dialog box with my password already pre-filled and pressing "Connect" will cause WiFi to connect successfully.

This happens often, but not every time I boot (about 4 out of 5 times). I'm pretty sure this only happens for my home WiFi network. The network is saved and I've tried removing and re-adding it via the GNOME UI as well as NMCLI but the issue persists. The notification will pop up at the GNOME login screen if I don't log in immediately. I don't specifically recall when this started but it has been present at least since GNOME 49 was released but possibly longer.

How do I have my WiFi properly reconnect automatically at boot without this dialog showing up?

Re: GNOME requires authentication to saved WiFi network on most boots

do you have auto-login enabled? could be an issue with gnome-keyring not unlocking
well, on linux your wifi credentials are locked behind your user login - so unless you login the wifi secret is not unlocked yet and your system can't connect to wifi, yet
but usually the time shouldn't have any play here as NM only starts after user login
sounds like a race condition

I have the "Make available to other users" setting checked in the WiFi network settings. I believe this means the credentials are not locked behind my user login.

If this is the case, any idea how to address it?
