Microphone not working on Arch Linux (ALC897 / PipeWire)

**Problem:** Realtek ALC897 on AMD Ryzen — mic/audio not working.

- Front jack: not detected at all
- Rear jack: detected but no audio input (silence)
- Windows works fine on same hardware

**Already tried:**
- alsamixer: Input Source = Mic, Capture = 100, Auto-Mute = Disabled
- arecord -D default → silence
- PipeWire/WirePlumber running with correct profile

**Likely cause:** ALC897 input mux not routed correctly by Linux driver on this specific AMD board (Gigabyte, ALC897 + Ryzen HD Audio Controller).

That's the short version. Want me to help post it somewhere specific — Arch forums, kernel bugzilla, or ALSA bug tracker?

Well, you already posted here

so, to actually debug this ALC897 issue, we’ll need the raw data rather than the summary, can you post relevant logs? paraphrasing is great for stories, but usually hides the routing errors we're looking for wink
