[SOLVED] Garbled text on chromium based frontends

Hi, I am using X11 KDE plasma, I have problems with text rendering on chromium based front ends (like steam). Where all text appears garbled. I had fixed this with the old xf86-video-intel (I have a sandy bridge gpu) driver and setting the option "DRI" to "off". But the driver began giving me problems somewhere else, so I decided to switch back to the modesetting driver. I don't think I have provided sufficient data for troubleshooting, so please, tell me what other data I have to provide.

Hello, it seems there is a bug caused by or made apparent by mesa 1.26.1, or possibly other package interacting with mesa updated around that time. See this thread for comparison.
