Since quite some time I've been facing this issue: proton drive video
I'm unable to capture it with OBS, so I had to use my phone.
What I have noticed is that it happens in nearly all browser but for some reason firefox and friends are more frequent, Chromium and friends seem to do it too, but it's less frequent.
Just existing on the site, doing absolutely nothing also causes these artifacts to flash on firefox.
I've noticed this on several websites, like the firefox release page, GrapheneOS website, etc.
Now since this happens with all browsers, it is probably related to my compositor?
I've noticed that this happens especially when links are on the page. This isn't a problem _just_ while hovering over them, when I scroll through pages with links this occurs. Although it isn't the case with something like say Arch wiki (or as far as I've noticed).
chromium 146.0.7680.153-1.1
firefox 148.0.2-1.1
firefox-developer-edition 149.0b8-1.1
lib32-mesa 2:26.0.3-2
linux-cachyos 6.19.9-1
linux-cachyos-headers 6.19.9-1
mesa-utils 9.0.0-7.1*NOTE*: I'm still on Arch Linux, I recently added cachyos repos to my manual install. This issue related to this since this has been a problem since like forever, even before adding the repos, but I never asked for help before.

Errr… are you talking about the white flash (could be a video artifact) or the link behavior (the changing font weight and text decoration)?
I'm unable to capture it with OBS, so I had to use my phone.
I assume we're talking about the white flash then and it's not constrained to the browser window but affects the entire screen?
Where is the monitor attached, the IGP or the GPU?
Does hyprland run on the IGP or on the GPU?
Now since this happens with all browsers, it is probably related to my compositor?
Can you reproduce this on an X11 session (openbox will do)?

Yes.

iGPU, even hyprland. It's a laptop screen.
Can you reproduce this on an X11 session (openbox will do)?
I'll try in sometime, I'm not near my laptop rightnow.
I forgot to mention this *seems* to not happen when graphics acceleration is off (in chromium), as far as I've tested.

I'm so sorry. I got busy with a lot of things. So I tested, OpenBox, and Sway, both don't cause it as far as I've tested. On grapheneos website, just existing causes insane artifacts.
So I assume it's a issue with hyprland?

https://wiki.hypr.land/Nvidia/ ?
And please post the hyprland.log for a general illustration of the setup/config/warnings/…
