SDDM on Wayland. And no, none of the buttons, even the virtual keyboard button (which I think it is) doesn't work.

Thinking straight, if Virtual Keyboard doesn't work then it's not a systemd issue. Unrelated to the suspend issue I guess.

Try sddm on X11, but I doubt this is related to the wakeup issue.
Boot grml ( https://grml.org/ - iff you didn't do that before, we want to try an entirely different SW stack ) w/ "module_blacklist=nvme", post a journal from there and try to "systemctl suspend" there (and then wake up)

Ah, no, i just changed the default window shown and now it works. so thats one positive. and its clear it is not related to the suspend.
