failed to synchronize all databases (invalid or corrupt database)

Whenever I try to install arch, I get an error message:

  core                               1621.0    B    7.84 KiB/s  00:00  [###################] 100%
  extra                              1621.0    B    7.10 KiB/s  00:00  [###################] 100%bnormal exit code [1]:    extra
error: GPGME error: No data
error: GPGME error: No data
error: failed to synchronize all databases (invalid or corrupt databases (PGP signature))

I looked through previous posts on this can their solutions did not help in my case. I tried several mirrors (worldwide and close to florida), changed image writer from Rufus to balenaEtcher, and am connected to the internet through ethernet. Any help would be appreciated.

Would be helpful to know what you actually tried. Some posts point to try and deleting all files and folders from /var/lib/pacman/sync/

That looks like you're either behind a captive portal or you're using a bad mirror. Don't delete those files in /var/lib/pacman/sync/, open them in a text editor, they're likely HTML and you can see what's going on.

Re: failed to synchronize all databases (invalid or corrupt database)

I managed to install it using a hotspot. I believe it was something to do with some security feature on my router, but now it is working. Now even though the hotspot is off and I am back to ethernet, installing and syncing packages is not a problem. Their might be a chance that comes time to update arch, I might need to go to hotspot again, but we will see.

Re: failed to synchronize all databases (invalid or corrupt database)

If you're running into this again make sure to inspect the downloaded not-databases to get a hint what and where that's coming from.

Other than that and please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
