[solved] xrandr refuses to add my new mode

After using cvt it gives me the modeline I am looking for

"2560x1440_180.00" 1037.75 2560 2792 3080 3600  1440 1443 1448 1602 -hsync +vsync

After I add --newmode and copy what's after Modeline then actually actually do

xrandr --addmode DP-2 "2560x1440_180.00"

it tells me it cannot find that mode.

xrandr | grep "2560x1440"
only lists
2560x1440  59.95*+

so I've got no clue what that's about. Thank you.

xrandr --verbose

Spoiler, if this is a wayland session, xrandr cannot work.

Well, I just found out. I added my
swaymsg -t get_outputs
to the config and now it works. Oops.
