I am unable to boot into my machine thinkpad 520. The boot process hangs with the following error: nouveau 0000:01:00.0: bus: MMIO write of 00014c70 FAULT at 100c10 . Its because of the nvidia card. How can I bypass this driver fault to install the proprietary Nvidia drivers?
I have already tried the nomodeset in the grub, but after i save and i reboot nothing happens and when i check on the grub again i find that the nomodeset was deleted like i didnt add it at all.
