Hello
I was running Resolve version 20.3.1, and it was running fine with my system. (RTX 4070)
Today I did a full system update which included a new linux kernel, nvidia updates (suspecting the nvidia update has something to do with it)
linux (6.19.9.arch1-1 -> 6.19.10.arch1-1)
nvidia-open-dkms (590.48.01-4 -> 595.58.03-1)
In a project with resolve, an export (on the delivery tab) that used to take seconds, is now reading as taking over 3h on its estimation to export.
I suspect its possibly some conflict with the update of NVIDIA drivers, so I have tested this in Blender, and Handbrake (to test encoding and burning frames) and they seem fine. I also then updated Resolve to 20.3.2 (I had been holding that package from updating due to it needing manual intervention).
The problem is still there, I am just looking for anyone that might have a clue as to what is causing this, or next steps.
I have a time-shift restore to before the system update, but I'd rather understand why this is happening. My next instinct would have been to try and manually move the NVIDIA Packages down to 590 again to see if it fixes it.
Thank you for anyone with thoughts or suggestions!

Ok,
I think I have narrowed down the issue (not 100% sure why it was happening).
My KDE Icons Only Taskbar was flickering when resolve was opening, and I took a recording of that and noticed that it was my microphone icon popping on and off (my mic was not connected).
I went on a hunch, connected my mic, and opened resolve - the flickering was gone, and it was exporting fine again. I suspect something has happened post update that causes the program to freak out if its not detecting a mic. I will post more if I have more details in case this helps anyone, but consider this solved for now.

For now, please mark your post as SOLVED by editing your first post.
In the future, or if this issue reappears, please post full logs instead of paraphrasing symptoms, actual data is far more important to get to a root cause. Also be aware that Resolve is in the AUR, so you should post this in the AUR forum instead.

Not a Davinci problem. Audacity too. I'm on Gnome so the problem is something in an Arch update.
