Maintenance of rstudio-desktop-bin package

The rstudio-desktop-bin package has been partially broken and frequently very outdated for going on 2 years now. A community member, cbrnr, has been extremely helpful about providing complete and up-to-date PKGBUILDs. The current maintainer, Meow, ignores AUR comments and refuses to work with the community or step down. Meow updates the package just enough to avoid letting it be marked as orphaned.

Is there a process for dealing with this? From a user perspective, it's incredibly frustrating.

Raise the topic on the aur-general mailing list, or submit an orphan request against the package and describe your grievances there. Either way is more likely to attract the attention of an AUR moderator (Trusted User/Package Maintainer) than posting on these forums.
