Drag and Drop doesn't work with official netbeans, but does with aur

The official repo package of netbeans does cannot do drag and drop, the AUR version can.
I'm on Wayland on GNOME 49.5, so it could be a wayland issue, but then again, the AUR which fetches the official binaries don't have the issue.
It could also be because official repo version is out of date (netbeans 26) while the aur is 29.

I was wondering as to why even though the official repo version is flagged out of date, they didn't update it. If I were willing to do so, what do I need to do?

Is either of them https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Waylan … plications ?

The netbeans package seems to be updated only ~12-18 months, no idea whether it requires more elaborate checks against the various JREs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Edit: please replace the oversized screenshots w/ links to spare some mousewheel mileage wink
