Unable to load encrypted system

I was following installation guide as here https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Dm-cry … VM_on_LUKS.

On startup I have input for passphrase. After sending it I am redirected to GRUB screen. Then I have black screen for a minute. Then Timed out waiting for device /dev/myVolumeGroupName/root.

I picked GRUB, systemd hooks, pbkdf2.

by systemd hooks, I assume you mean mkinitcpio hooks? If so, post your mkinitcpio and grub configs.
