Re: Increased snappiness after 7.0.3-arch1-2?

The pkgrel (number behind the dash) is used to update the build script, without changing the package source for compiling.

https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … b7432c2be1
GCC was bumped to 16.1.

You can find the changelogs in the top-right corner of the package's page

Re: Increased snappiness after 7.0.3-arch1-2?

I also thought I noticed some changes when I upgraded from 6.19.14.arch1-1 to 7.0.3.arch1-2

Had read about some 7.0 performance improvements on phoronix a while ago, but when I had a look I couldn't pinpoint anything that would immediately apply to my setup. Maybe it's this though: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Linux-7.0-MM

You have some odd humor.

So I'm told... but my implicit point was that I'm not sure the increased snappiness is exclusively attributable to pkgrel 2, which may have gone unnoticed by the OP
