Asus rog zephyrus 14" support

Hi all,
I'm doing some research on the compatibility of Asus rog 14" laptops with Arch + Sway.
I'm considering buying one used — the GA402 and GA403 models (2022 to 2024) seem to go for reasonable prices on the second-hand market. The GA402 all-AMD variant seems a logical option, since neither Sway nor Hyprland officially support nvidia (as far as I understand).
A few specific questions:

Is the NVIDIA driver still a real pain point on these laptops, or has the situation improved?
How well does battery charge limit work under Linux?
The Asus/Laptop page lists the GA403 as supported — but given that it ships with an NVIDIA GPU, would I be better off ditching Sway and going with i3? Since switching to a tiling wm I find it really hard to imagine going back to a non tiling wm, so i3 would be my fallback rather than GNOME/KDE. But I'd really like to stay on wayland to be honest.

I'd use this laptop for music production and recording, coding, gaming.
Any first-hand experience with the GA402 or GA403 on Arch — especially with Sway or Hyprland — would be hugely appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Asus rog zephyrus 14" support

Hey,
I just installed arch plus hyprland on my asus rog g14(2024) some weeks ago. As far as I can tell there where no problems with the driver. Only thing which could be considered annoying is that I have to do a restart when switching from hybrid GPU mode to integrated. I did a quick search on that topic and it seems other people dont have this issue or this problem can be avoided. I have to say that this is my first linux installation and I am still learning. So I did not try to solve this issue yet. Battery Charge limit is also pretty easy to set  and my power consumption is also pretty low after some tweaks. There is also asus-linux.org with instructions. Hope this helps a little bit.
