All menus and pop-ups lack shadows

In Plasma 6.7.3, I selected Kvantum in System Settings under "Colors & Themes" > "Application Style." All menus and pop-ups lack shadows.

plasmashell --version
plasmashell 6.7.3

kvantummanager --version
Kvantum Manager 1.1.8

kvantum is a themable style, the behavior will hinge on the used theme and possibly some kvantum setting ?

It doesn't matter which theme I select in Kvantum; no shadows are drawn. There is also an option for "shadowless menus and tooltips," but it has no effect.
