Hi, well i have a canon pixma g3170 printer but i never used a printer before in arch linux. At first i was thinking that a driver existed in the packages but i find nothing related to canon, then i searched in the aur but none of the packages match the driver of the model i was searching for. I searched more in the internet and i find this page https://www.siberoloji.com/how-to-set-u … rch-linux/ i followed the steps but CUPS detects my printer as a Canon G3070 and not as a Canon Pixma G3170 and when i search in the models for Canon Pixma G3170 only appears Canon Pixma G3100 and not the model im searching for. The status for the printer says Ready - universal filter failed and lp and lpr says No default destination.
I dont find a solution, the solution find me...

There's a major issue w/ the latest version of libcupsfilter, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 6#p2308976
The documentation on https://www.cla.canon.com/en/p/pixma-g3170 sounds like its supported by the general cnijfilter2, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cnijfilter2
