Google Cloud CLI tarball SHA256 checksum mismatch

Hello,

I am attempting to download the official Google Cloud CLI Linux 64-bit package (`google-cloud-cli-linux-x86_64.tar.gz`) (versión 579.0.0) from the official Google Cloud documentation page.

The website specifies the following SHA256 checksum and size:
- Expected SHA256: bd0f7eab135cfe64ca28d4cf1c4af2b20da40c63966f05066a546de41775713e
- Expected Size: 96.1 MB

However, after multiple downloads using different tools, running `sha256sum` locally yields a completely different hash, and the file size does not match what is listed on the site.

1. Is this a known issue where Google updates the release tarballs on their CDN without immediately updating the checksums in their documentation?
2. What is the recommended way to install `gcloud` on Arch Linux? Is maintaining it via the AUR (`google-cloud-cli`) preferred over direct manual tarball extraction?

Thanks in advance.

Hello. You may try building the package as Josef Vybíhal shown in his PKGBUILD (taken from google-cloud-cli AUR entry). If you never used AUR before and wish to build that PKGBUILD as-is, read this introduction, paying close attention to the red box.
