hello I have a bit of a strange problem and I'm desperate... when I connect my headphones via bluetooth, the sound works fine... but when I run a mic test and select the microphone on my headphones, not only does it not work, but the sound coming through them also stops... reselecting profiles in pwvucontrol doesn't work, however, restarting pipewire and wireplumber seems to turn it back to normal? also reconnecting the headphones works...I don't even know where to look for the problem atp..
also, the headphones work fine with my phone, so I'm assuming the problem is either with bt (which I doubt) or pipewire. I restarted and reinstalled pipewire many times and it still doesn't work...I don't know anymore
I will appreciate any help!

Are there any messages from pipewire or bluetooth in the system journal when this happens?

when I try to activate headphones mic, live journal outputs this:

For the system journal you'll likely have to sudo journalctl (hopefully an underlying BT error gets logged)

It doesn't...it prints the same thing...I'm running "sudo journalctl -f" by the way

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo … ug=1148124 - https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … replumber/ already is at 5.18 but does a downgrade help?
Offline
I downgraded to 0.5.15-1 as written there - no difference

Just to be sure, you downgraded both packages and then restarted the wireplumber service (resp. logged out/in or rebooted) but the connection still collapses when activating the mic?
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire … items/1013 is *way* too close to your situation to be coincidence…
