T480 battery issue

I recently installed Arch on my T480 after using Windows 11 for a while, and during my period using Windows, I tried regulating my battery using Lenovo Vantage, but I think it just screwed over my embedded controller cause it stopped charging my batteries and my external one isnt even discharging. After switching over, my internal returned to normal but the external hasn't. I wonder if there's any software fix I could try before I could try any hardware fix?

Re: T480 battery issue

So battery #1 wasn't charging (is it empty?) and battery #2 was full but not used.
Swapping them, battery #2 just works™ and battery #1 doesn't?

Any chance you've fully discharged it?

The battery controller needs some energy to initiate the charge, if it's *fully* empty that won't work and the only thing one could do to apply direct voltage, not using any charging device, to "shock" it into life.
This is potentially dangerous and should only be done by someone w/ some experience around electronics.

Re: T480 battery issue

It's not empty, its at like, 90% but its not charging, I did unplug the internal battery and turned it on using only the external battery and its working fine, but it was charging or discharging, I'll monitor it closely to see if there's any further issues. Hope this clarifies.
