I did not set "include a plain text version of new posts in subscription notification emails." It is now set. Please repost maintainer mail address.

Edit:
I think I used the same address from the PKGBUILD. My bad, the address in their profile would be: redacted
Try highlighting it
I doubt if this trick is allowed to disclose addresses, in any case will purge it in 12 hours
Edit2:
Dude, I just emailed you.

The atomicparsley 20240608.083822.1ed9031-1 package is the latest release. The AtomicParsley-0.9.7 from get_iplayer is an older version.

My understanding is that the issue here is the Extra repo package of atomicparsley, not the AUR package of get_iplayer.
Every other distro (Ubuntu/Debian, Fedora and openSUSE) I've installed both on has named the bin file as 'AtomicParsley', only Arch names it as 'atomicparsley'. This also matches the Github source - https://github.com/wez/atomicparsley/tree/master/src
For several years now, I've dealt with this on Arch (and derivatives) by running
sudo ln -s /usr/bin/atomicparsley /usr/bin/AtomicParsleyin the terminal.
The Arch Linux GitLab won't load for me the several times I've tried today, so I can;t check whether a bug has been raised for this naming issue.

https://gitlab.archlinux.org/archlinux/ … =heads#L35
It's exclusively an optional dependency for yt-dlp which from a quick grep indeed calls "atomicparsley" (no idea why) - since there're no other consumers the package arguably doesn't need to provide other symlinks, but if the get_iplayer and other AUR packages would establish such, you'd run into conflicts so either
1. the atomicparsley package provides a symlink
2. you'd need an (AUR) package that depends on atomicparsley, provides the AtomicParsley symlink and itself is dependency for get_iplayer etc.

Neither of those gtilab.archlinux.org links will open for me, but I've checked the dependencies section for yt-dlp (https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp#dependencies) and that also names it as 'AtomicParsley'.
Either of your proposed solutions would work, but I note that the naming of the bin file in Arch Linux is out of line with upstream and other distros.
Offline
grep -ir atomicparsley /usr/lib/python*/site-packages/yt_dlp/though on closer inspection
x for x in ['AtomicParsley', 'atomicparsley', 'libatomicparsley.so']it actually checks all three and stores the match in "atomicparsley" so there should™ be no downside to (not) renaming the binary.

Thank you for the update. I've found a browser that works for https://gitlab.archlinux.org so I can view the links you posted now.

The persons who wrote AtomicParsley and get_iplayer collaborated. "AtomicParsley person" is around with a web site. I made a list of URLs documenting this and now I misplaced it.
