**Title:** Samsung Odyssey NP800G5M: no Linux interface found to control the lid logo LED (Windows "Odyssey Control" can toggle it)
**Hardware**
- Samsung Odyssey NP800G5M-XT1BR (DMI: 800G5M/800G5W/NP800G5M-XT1BR)
- BIOS P14RDV.078.181113.XJ (11/13/2018)
- Arch Linux, kernel: `7.2.11-arch1-1`
**Problem**
The notebook has a red LED logo on the lid. On Windows, Samsung's Odyssey Control (>= 1.1.8.0) has an "ODYSSEY Logo LED" on/off toggle in its settings tab. I could not find any way to turn it off from Linux, and I no longer have Windows installed to capture what the tool does.
**What I checked**
- `/sys/class/leds/` only has the NIC LEDs, input LEDs (capslock/numlock/...), `mmc0::` and `samsung-galaxybook::kbd_backlight`. Nothing for the logo.
- `samsung_galaxybook` is loaded and bound to `SAM0426:00`. It exposes only the keyboard backlight LED and two firmware attributes (`block_recording`, `power_on_lid_open`). Nothing logo-related.
- WMI devices in `/sys/bus/wmi/devices/`:
`A486D8F8-0BDA-471B-A72B-6042A6B5BEE0-4`, `C16C47BA-50E3-444A-AF3A-B1C348380000-0`, `...0001-1`, `...0002-2`, `CA4982BF-C230-458E-B12F-6F16475F351B-3`, `F6CB5C3C-9CAE-4EBD-B577-931EA32A2CC0-5`
- DSDT (disassembled with iasl): grepping for logo/odyssey/LED finds nothing relevant. The only `LEDM` fields are bits inside the PCIe config-space OperationRegion `PXCS` and have nothing to do with a LED. The six SSDTs are SATA, System Agent, PEG, CPU, SgPeg and Optimus tables; none is relevant.
**The only vendor-specific interface I found**
`_SB.PCI0.AMW0` (PNP0C14) has a `_WDG` with three entries, all GUID `C16C47BA-50E3-444A-AF3A-B1C3483800xx`, and no BMOF block:
- `...0000`, object "00", data block: `WQ00` just returns `0x10`
- `...0001`, object "00", method: `WM00(inst, method, Arg2)` returns `SAWS(Arg2)`
- `...0002`, object "01", method: `WM01(inst, method, Arg2)`
`SAWS` takes `MTX1`, copies the input buffer into `SABF` (168 bits), triggers a software SMI with `MSMI(SANO)` and returns `SABF`.
`WM01` takes `MTX1`, sets `SMFN = 0x5357`, then maps `Arg1` 1..5 to `SSFN` 0..4. For `Arg1` 2..5 it copies the input into `SABX` (2048 bits) and triggers `MSMI(SANO)`. It returns `SABX`.
So all the logic appears to live in SMM firmware, and the command format is not visible from ACPI. I did not call any of these methods, since unknown SMI commands could change BIOS settings (fan, charging, performance).
**Question**
Has anyone documented or captured (e.g. under Windows) the WMI/SMI call that Odyssey Control uses to toggle the logo LED on the NP800G5M? If a command is known, a small driver or a documented `acpi_call` sequence would be enough.
I can attach `acpidump` output and the full `lsmod` / `dmesg` if useful.
