Hey There
I'm New here, and I try to use Arch for the first time.
I found a problem with arch. so few days ago i just want to update my arch like usual. I type "sudo pacman -Syu" and it goes like nothing happened.
the things that i don't know is, the updates delete x11 program, while i'm using that things to run arch. btw, using Kde plasma cuz my friend recomend me to use it ![]()
so after update was finished, and restart, the program was crashed (i guess). so after i'm login into arch, the display was...... blinking like this never happen before.
i just wonder like "owhhh... i think i just need to restart again, and it will fixed" so i restart it again... and yuppp..... i'm stuck at the booting display.
it says
Loading Linux linux.....
error: fs/fshelp.c:find_file:206:file /vmlinuz-linux' not found.
Loading initial ramdisk ....
error: loader/i386/linux.c:grub_cmd_initrd:1082:you need to load the kernel first.
Press any key to continue....
Can somebody helpp mee pleaseeee....
and also the are many imoportant file there, and i hope it can be secure too ![]()
Thank you

what x11 program because there could be a wayland counterpart that works just as fine ie ydotol/wtype for xdotol, it did not delete "the x11 program" it asked you if you wanted to remove kwin-x11, because 6.8 removed kwin-x11 support and 6.4 was making wayland the default session
is there is particular reason you are using x11 instead of wayland?
I Have Linux Perl Can i Download Gnome???

1. he's not using X11 because

and
error: fs/fshelp.c:find_file:206:file /vmlinuz-linux' not found.
has absolutely nothing to do w/ the display server - the kernel was not (properly) copied to the boot partition/ESP
@gusgus, did you reboot the system w/ the power button? The filesystem would then not have been synced to disk, avoid doing that at all costs.
Regardless of the cause you'll have to fix this offline, ie. boot the install iso, mount the root and boot partition, arch-chroot into the system and re-install the kernel, possibly grub and update the grub config.
