Realizing later that one should have separately partitioned /home is something that I have seen others regret. One would think recipes for installing or installer workflows would recognize this.
So: How do I split safely ?

Currently /home is in a single partition of Btrfs under /
I want to add a new partition and move the existing /home to that location.
1 - create a new partition: /new-home
2 - copy /home to /new-home
3 - change fstab to direct /new-home & rename to /home
4 - delete the old /home

changing partition layout on an existing install is not an installation issue, moving to Newbie Corner
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
