Split up Single BTRFS "/" Partition into: root home snapshots

Realizing later that one should have separately partitioned /home is something that I have seen others regret. One would think recipes for installing or installer workflows would recognize this.
So: How do I split safely ?

https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=272004 2021-12-09 12:18:23 says:

# btrfs subvolume snapshot / /@
# btrfs subvolume create /@home
# btrfs subvolume create /@snapshots
# rsync -aAXv /home/ /@home ; sync

which wiki pages should I understand before I play superuser?

Re: Split up Single BTRFS "/" Partition into: root home snapshots

Currently /home is in a single partition of Btrfs under /
I want to add a new partition and move the existing /home to that location.
1 - create a new partition: /new-home
2 - copy /home to /new-home
3 - change  fstab to direct /new-home & rename to /home
4 - delete the old /home

Please edit your post if no one has responded and only a short time has passed, don't create a new post.

changing partition layout on an existing install is not an installation issue, moving to Newbie Corner

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
